102 House had a banner year in 2022, being awarded two Michelin stars within 12 months of opening, alongside its sommelier Demi Lei winning the Michelin Sommelier's Award for her exquisite wine list and pairings. Chef Xu Jingye's imaginative dishes are inspired by the tradition of Cantonese banquets and play with classic dishes and modern techniques to create seasonally-changing tasting menus using the best locally-sourced produce. Dishes on offer could include sautéed Feizixiao lychees stuffed with white shrimp and pork paste and served still in their skins, or little Gwo zaa umami bombs – diamond-shaped snacks filled with a porcini, chanterelle and termite mushroom broth-infused custard, designed to melt in the mouth. Keep an eye out for the restaurant's Four Hands dinner events: collaborations with other restaurants that have gained an almost cult-like status.
