As official Academic Partner, the Basque Culinary Center lends its trusted team of experts to perform robust research and analysis and provide insight and expertise throughout the selection process.

A name synonymous with expertise in gastronomy, the Basque Culinary Center is much more than an academic institution. It is a unique ecosystem where training, innovation, research and entrepreneurship coexist with the aim of developing and driving gastronomy. 

At the Basque Culinary Center, gastronomy goes beyond food and drink – it is a collection of relationships in which different agents intervene in an ecosystem whose common denominator is food. It is a dynamic value chain that extends beyond the purely culinary to include natural environments, technologies, forms of production, distribution and consumption, creativity and the dialogue between knowledge, identity, sustainability, biodiversity, education, health and culture. 

The Basque Culinary Center trains and supports young talent from the gastronomic sector. These people represent a qualitative advance towards innovation through different initiatives, challenges and spaces, with dialogue at an international level. The Center is connected to the present and the future of gastronomy all over the world and firmly believes that gastronomy develops new ways to communicate.

Its mission is rooted in values such as passion, innovation, excellence and social commitment. Located in San Sebastian since September 2011, the Basque Culinary Center is a pioneering institution formed by the Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences and the Centre for Research and Innovation. BCC Innovation researches and innovates in product design, offers various services to companies, new entrepreneurs and young people with significant projects, on top of a wide spectrum of programs, initiatives and events.
