Raffles Singapore has long been famed for its hospitality across history. Alongside its lodgings, a key pillar of that package comes in the form of Long Bar, which has been serving up the city’s famed Singapore Slings since they were invented at the location in 1915. Just as the hotel has evolved, so too has its bar here – the most recent renovation in 2019 has modernised the operation of the bar while retaining its historic character and aesthetic that transports guests back to the early 20th century. Traditions, including the encouraged littering of discarded peanut shells onto the floor, have remained in place and helped Long Bar retain its status as a must-visit for all in search of a sip of Singapore's liquid history.
