Hidden in plain sight, you’ll need to flit through an empty florist in hunt of the basement door to this purple-hued subterranean bar in Stockholm’s Östermalm. It’s the brainchild of some of the country’s hottest mixology minds – Ola Carlson and Alex Skärlén – and focuses on a pitch-perfect pared-back menu of nine quietly innovative tipples. As the name suggests, the technique-forward mixes follow a naturalistic slant – see Rum and Plum with plum eau du vie, umeshu and walnut bitters – all beautifully balanced. And, as per the locale, you’ll find plenty of foraged finds – sea buckthorn, meadowsweet, lingonberry and birch – among the ingredients.
