The Miraflores neighbourhood of Lima is a prime destination for intrepid drinkers looking for liquid adventures, in part thanks to this vibrant addition to the city’s cocktail scene. Named after prolific Peruvian writer Julio Ramón Ribeyro, who lived in the building and wrote one of his most famous short stories about the cottage next door, Ribeyro opened in 2022 in the Hotel Boutique La Quinta de Miraflores. The bar programme is helmed by Luis Flores, a staple in the Lima bartending scene, who crafts both classic and original cocktails that speak to Latin American flavours using regional distillates like Peruvian agave, pisco and more. A zesty wine list spotlights the growing wine scene in Peru, including some exciting small batch offerings, while the young (and very affable) bar staff draws an energetic crowd to the homey space.
