Renowned bon vivant Charles H Baker (who wrote the classic cocktail book ‘The Gentleman’s Companion’) provides both the name and inspiration for this cocktail bar within the Four Seasons in Seoul. It's hidden behind an unmarked door, and maintains that speakeasy atmosphere once inside, but it has all the glamour of a top-end hotel bar, too. It’s a regular on Asia’s 50 Best list and also The Best Bar in Korea in 2019. The cocktail list contains classics and original creations alike. A Charles H original from the ‘Mexico’ section of the current menu is ‘Ms Frida’, with blanco tequila, grapefruit, lavender cordial, bergamot and tonic.
