The top floor of Seoul’s L’Escape Hotel – the design of which evokes 19th Century France – contains an opulent cocktail space with some big names behind it. Set up by global bartending legends Simone Caporale, Monica Berg and Alex Kratena, Marque D'amour combines the hotel’s French design cues with local Korean ones, resulting in an intimate, lush environment complete with peacock sculptures and no shortage of gold, velvet and wood panelling. Flowers and plants are the focus of the bar’s signature drinks, with inventive presentation for each. Don’t miss the Rainbow G&T, served with layers of citrus fruit.
